Iroko wood with Chlorophora excelsa is native to the west shoreline of Africa. It is once in a while called African, or Nigerian, teak, yet the Iroko is irrelevant to the teak family. The wood is extreme, thick, tough, and durable, making it a perfect substitute for teak wood.

The heartwood of this beautiful is generally yellow to brilliant or medium brown, with color having a tendency to get darker over time. Light yellow sapwood is obviously differentiated from the heartwood. Iroko has a medium to the coarse surface, with open pores and an interlocked grain.
Iroko is truly sturdy, and is impervious to both decay and bug assault; it’s occasionally utilized as a substitute for Teak.

It is usually utilized in the making of cabinetmaking and paneling as a substitute for teak, which it looks like both in shade (light brown to profound brilliant brown) and in grain.
For the most part, simple to work with, except for its interlocked grain, which might cause some tear out during surfacing tasks.  Iroko pastes and finish Veneer, flooring, furniture, cabinetry, boatbuilding, turned things, and other little specialty wood things as well.
