Iroko wood with Chlorophora excelsa is native to the west shoreline of Africa. It is once in a while called African, or Nigerian, teak, yet the Iroko is irrelevant to the teak family. The wood is extreme, thick, tough, and durable, making it a perfect substitute for teak wood.
The heartwood of this beautiful is generally yellow to brilliant or medium brown, with color having a tendency to get darker over time. Light yellow sapwood is obviously differentiated from the heartwood. Iroko has a medium to the coarse surface, with open pores and an interlocked grain.
Iroko is truly sturdy, and is impervious to both decay and bug assault; it’s occasionally utilized as a substitute for Teak.
It is usually utilized in the making of cabinetmaking and paneling as a substitute for teak, which it looks like both in shade (light brown to profound brilliant brown) and in grain.
