Buy the Best Tagua Nut / Ivory from California Exotic Hardwoods.

Tagua is a nut that is obtained from a palm tree, primarily grown in South American tropical forests. And it is most commonly derived from the nuts of palm trees belonging to the genus Phytelephas. Many people refer to vegetable ivory (also known as tagua) as the nut of a South American palm tree. The interior of the nut resembles elephant ivory, and it even has a natural shine. These trees are also known as tagua palms and ivory-nut palms.

This nut can be used as a very good substitute for Elephant Ivory and carved into beautiful sculptures, jewelry, and souvenirs. As when the nut is matured they are dried and once the brown outer layer is removed, the nut is a beautiful ivory color which is ideal for carving. The Tagua nut can be dyed very easily for jewelry.

Each piece is unique and beautiful. California Exotic Hardwoods has a huge inventory of Tagua Nut and also has a huge inventory of several amazing and beautiful rare exotic hardwoods.
