Spanish Cedar (Cedrela odorata), also sold as Cedro, is a lightweight tropical hardwood with a warm reddish-brown color and a pleasant natural aroma. It belongs to the mahogany family, so it machines cleanly and is a pleasure on the pen lathe. These kiln-dried 3/4" square pen blanks from California Exotic Hardwoods come in 5" and 6" lengths, and you can buy a single blank or save with a combo pack of 2, 5, 12 or 24 pieces.
