Spanish Cedar (Cedrela odorata), also sold as Cedro, is a tropical hardwood that turns beautifully and smells wonderful on the lathe. Although the name says cedar, it belongs to the mahogany family, so you get easy, predictable machining along with a warm, aromatic scent. These kiln-dried bowl blanks from California Exotic Hardwoods are ready to mount and turn into bowls, platters, cigar humidors, jewelry boxes and decorative vessels.
